
Where Steve and Tony both try to confess to one another, but wind up getting cold feet. Cue eye rolling, some groaning and a lot of facepalming from all their friends.
“Smooth, Rogers.”
“I just…I-I tripped!”
“Sure you did. Saw something you like?”
“No!”
“Your blush says otherwise.”
“Shut up, Tony.”

“I’ll see you at home, ‘kay?” says Tony, waving.
Steve watches him go, a little lightheaded and giddy; his heart feeling too tight and too warm for his chest, like he’s about to burst.
He likes it when Tony says the word ‘home’.
